Air Force Office of Special Investigations (AFOSI) Accession Board (Susp: 1 Sep 14)

 Det 075,

1. AFOSI will hold an accession applicant review board for cadets commissioning in 2015. Completed application packages must be e-mailed to the Chief of AFOSI Officer Assignments at eldrick.link@us.af.mil and AFOSI.HQ.OLE@ogn.af.mil by 1 Sep 14. This is very important, as the objective is to run the FY14 board virtually. Applicants must also mail identical hardcopies of their application packages to HQ AFPC/DPALB1, Attn: 71S Officer Assignments (Special Agent Eldrick Link), 550 C Street West, A-Wing, Randolph AFB TX 78150-4735, and ensure the completed application package is received by 1 Sep 14.

2. Contact the Det NCO for Application procedures. Additional information may be obtained by accessing the AFOSI public website at http://www.osi.andrews.af.mil/questions/officers/index.asp. Once on the site, click on “Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps (AFROTC) Cadets.”

3. After initial selection, the board results are submitted to AFPC/DPSIP for classification into the AFOSI AFSC (71SX). All applicants selected by the review board are subject to an extensive background investigation. AFOSI agents will visit your detachment and interview staff and students as part of this investigation. Successful completion of the background investigation is a prerequisite for assignment to the AFOSI Investigators Course. If there is any suitability issue that precludes the cadet’s assignment to AFOSI, the cadet will be reclassified by HQ AFPC/DPSIP based on needs of the Air Force and the cadet’s desires as indicated on their Form 53.

4. The AFOSI POC for this selection process is Special Agent (Maj) Eldrick Link at HQ AFPC/DPALB1, DSN 665-4191/2275, commercial (210) 565-4191/2275, or eldrick.link@us.af.mil. Detachments and individual cadets are also encouraged to contact a local AFOSI detachment for assistance and information.
