Air Liaison Officer (ALO) Career Field Volunteer Opportunity (Suspense: 10 February 2015)

1. The Air Force is accepting applications from cadets graduating in 2015 and 2016 for ALO Phase I selection. Applications are due to Mr. Gary Jones, ACC/A3FC, by e-mail at NLT 10 February 2015. Selected candidates will attend Phase II ALO Aptitude Assessment (AAA), 20-25 March 2015, at Moody AFB, GA.

2. In order to allow cadets sufficient time to obtain alternate AFSCs, cadets may apply in their junior year. ACC/A3FC will also accept applications from cadets during their senior year, but cadets who have been selected for an AFSC must be released by AFPC/DPSIP to compete for 13L ALO opportunities. Cadets with AFSCs will not lose their current AFSC unless/until they successfully complete AAA.

3. ALO program application and submission procedures are contained in Attachment 1, paragraph 5 (See NCOs if interested in competing for ALO). In order for cadets to apply, the detachment’s Operations Flight Commander must sign Block 15 and the Detachment Commander must sign Block 16 of the application.
