Staff Sergeant George Krill

SSgtKrillStaff Sergeant Krill is the Assistant Non-Commissioned Officer in Charge (NCOIC), Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps (AFROTC) Detachment 075, San Diego State University, San Diego California.

He is a Knowledge Operator with experience at the Squadron, Group and Wing Levels.  SSgt Krill  manages Knowledge Operation functions, Enterprise Information Management (EIM) and Client Support Administration (CSA).

His first assignment was 2nd Space Launch Squadron, Vandenberg AFB CA, where he completed his upgrade training.  Subsequently 2SLS deactivated after the last Titan IV launch in 2005 and stood up 30th Launch Support Squadron.

SSgt Krill deployed to the 332nd Air Expeditionary Wing, Security Forces Squadron in Balad Air Base, Iraq as Third Country National Escort in support of OPERATION IRAQI FREEDOM (OIF).

As a Knowledge Operation Management Journeyman, he also deployed to 451st Air Expeditionary Wing in Kandahar Airfield, Afghanistan in support of OPERATION ENDURING FREEDOM and OPERATION NEW DAWN. After leaving California, SSgt Krill received short-tour orders to 51st Maintenace Group Osan AB, Republic of Korea where he supported over 500+ users by troubleshooting computer/printer and network account issues daily.  He also provided records management, sharepoint/enterprise information and CSA guidance to the 51st Fighter Wing’s largest squadron.

After his short-tour, SSgt Krill’s follow-on assignment was Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling, where he was the NCOIC Knowledge Operations for 11th Operations Group that supports the United States Air Force Honor Guard, United States Air Force Band and Arlington National Cemetery where he became the Comm Focal Point that coordinated with the Air Force National Capital Region Help Desk (AFNCR) on software/hardware installation, account creations and trouble tickets along with providing executive services/communication support to 462 personnel.   He also took charge for six months as acting NCOIC, Knowledge Operations for 11th Mission Support Group at Joint Base Andrews during the 11th Wing Compliance Inspection in 2012 and oversaw 400+ Officer/Enlisted Performance Reports & 237 decoration reviews.
