Captain Kevin Gray is the Operations Flight Commander, Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps (AFROTC) Detachment 075, and Assistant Professor of Aerospace Studies, San Diego
State University, San Diego, California. In this position, he leads the planning, execution, and oversight of the cadet training programs to develop effective Air Force and Space Force officers.
Capt Gray is a 2016 graduate of the University of South Carolina, where he earned a Bachelors degree in Biological Sciences, and earned his commission through AFROTC Detachment 775.
He is a Cyberspace Operations Officer, with experience spanning from Joint Expeditionary Communications, Defensive Cyberspace Operations (DCO), and traditional Base Communications. Prior to this assignment, Capt Gray was the Operations Officer at the 22d Communications Squadron, McConnell Air Force Base, Kansas where he led 96 personnel in
daily operations to manage and secure the base’s $26M communication networks, enabling secure mission planning and worldwide refueling support for a 42-aircraft KC-46 and KC-135
tanker fleet.
