Joint ROTC Dorm
SDSU freshmen and sophomores are required to live in the dorms for the first two years if they live outside the SDSU service area. ROTC cadets may elect to live in the ROTC Dorm their freshmen year by selecting this housing option (Learning community) in late May when they choose SDSU Dorm. Additionally, some of our cadets will go on hold campus jobs as RAs (Resident Assistance) in the dorm.
The Joint ROTC Dorm is currently in University Tower on the corner of Montezuma & 55th streets. The building is shared with Athletes and "Quiet Study" and "Substance free" groups. Rooms are doubles with a shared bathroom/shower with the adjoining room.
Benefits:
- Living with other cadets who are "like-minded" and respectful of early morning ROTC requirements. Also respectful of the need to remain drug free and out of civil involvements.
- Residents may arrange to move in one week prior to the main dorms. In addition, students are not required to vacate during the Thanksgiving, Winter and Spring Breaks.
- Dorm has its own pool.
- Dorm contains a "Star Center" with free tutoring and printing services.
- Close to PT fields
